Classical Indian Odissi dance is a lyrical and graceful dance form from Orissa, in East India. It takes it's essence from ancient texts, temple sculpture, Orissan folk dances & martial arts, and much much more.

We will go through some calming & centring movements,
a wide range of warm up exercises specific to Odissi
Chowka & Tribhangi stepping.

Tuesdays are for complete beginners.
Fridays are a more intermediate class, but beginners are still welcome and will benefit from all the different exercises and from seeing what comes next!

COME WEARING: comfortable yoga style clothes, preferably long leggings and a kurta tunic  top or t-shirt  – barefoot.
